CANTERBURY ENGINEERS.
The Engineers fired the fifth competition for their Champion Belt on Saturday. The ranges were 300, 500 and GOOyds. The light was rather tricky and the ammunition far from reliable. The following are the scores: — Sapper- Lester 300 yds 26, 500 yds 30, 600 yds 28—84; Corporal Morrow 23, 23, 18—64; Corporal W. Taylor 20, 21, 19—60 ; Sergeant Smith 25, 23, 11 — 59; Sergeant Buntin 14, 26, 17 — 57*5 Quartermaster-Sergeant Watts 18, 21, 11—50; Sapper Treleaven 20, 12, 14— 46; Sapper Parker 18, 17, 10—45. The ! final competition will be fired on Saturday 1 next. J
