CULVEBDEN SHEEP SALE. A sale of sheep was held at the Amuri Saleyards, Culverden, yesterday. About six thonsand sheep were offered, mostly fat and forward balf-breds. Though the attendance was small, there was good competition, especially for freezers, and every lot was 6oldatw..ell above Addington values. The following are details :— Mr F. C. Tabart sold, for St Leonards, four-tooth, half-bred wethers, forward condition, 100 at Bs, 200 at 7s 3d ; two-tooth half-bred wethers and maiden ewes, 1200 at Gs 6d; sound-mouthed merino wethers, 200 at 2s 7d, 300 at 2s 3d. For Lyndon, 640 six and eight-tooth half-bred ewes at ss ; For Glens of Tekoa, 244 store half-bred wethers at 6s 6d; 154 half-bred wethers and maiden ewes, fat, at 9s. Messrs J. T. Ford and Go. sold, for Mount Palm, 470 two-tnoth half-bred wethers, nearly fat, at 8s lOd. Messrs Dalgety and Co. sold for Highfield, 705 two, four and six-tooth half-bred wethers at 10s 3d. Messrs H. Matson and Go. sold, for Montrose, 60 very heavy merino wethers at Us • for Leslie Hills, 60 half-bred wethers at 12s 9d» GO two and four-tooth half-bred maiden ewes at 93 lid. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company sold, for Kaiwarra,239 two-tooth half-bred wethera at 11s, 540 four and six-tooth ditto-at 11s 2d, 130 two and four-tooth half-bred maiden ewes at 8s 4d ; for Mr T. Harland, 80 fat lambs at 10s Bd. The New Zealand Farmers Co-operative Association sold, for Mr J. Fleming, Cheviot, 245 half-bred and cross-bred wethersfew. (ewea) at lla, ld.
