THE MANCHESTER SHOW.
Mr J. Gr. Wilson, ex-M.H.K., who is at present in England, has sent out some notes of great interest to settlers upon the great Manchester Show, which he recently Visited. Of the horses, he says : — " The hunters' class was a very big one, and some of very excellent quality. But I confess, after looking at what I suppose is the pick of England, that were we to pick New Zealand in the same way we could' getquite as good a class together." The Ronmey Marsh sheep, too, " were a great dis^ appointment — not a sheep amongst them would have been shown at any of our shows; indeed, I don't think anyone in New Zealand would use them. However, this was not a fair test of their qualities, for there were few shown and it is not their county."
