PEIVATIONS OF THE GREEKS. [Per Press Association.! "ATHENS, Mat 11. The Greek fleet iu the Gulf of Volo will support General Smolenski in the position occupied at Sourpi, near Almyro. The Turks are rapidly closing round Domoko, and an attack on the Greek position is imminent. ; • The recent reverses have caused a renewal of ill - feeling against the Duke of Sparta, who is strongly blamed for the conduct of the war and the misfortune of the Greeks. The Government has cancelled two of his appointments. The Queen of Greece asked the Czar, who is her second cousin, to use his influence with the Sultan to obtain an armistice. The Crown Princess appealed to the German Emperor, her brother, tor help for Greece in the present difficulty. Mat 12. Eighty thousand Greek refugees are herded together at Lanna, a town at the head of the Gulf of Volo, twenty miles south-east of Domoko, without shelter, exposed to rajn, and dependent on private charity ,for food. 'To add to other troubles the commissariat arrangements of the Greek army have collapsed. The only rations available for the soldiers consist of a scant supply of bread and cheese washed down with water. Sickness is very prevalent, and great discontent exists amongst the troops. "With a view to allayingdiaaffection and reitoringconfideuce the Dukeof Sparta has issued a proclamation stating that the position' at Domoko is so strong that the army is invincible, aud will soon ropume the offensive. The Gr»ek Government and people are feverishly anxious for the proclamation of an armistice. The Turks are still mobilising largely. The Greek western fleet hab bombarded Syra, an important seaport on the coast of Epirus.
