Concert. — The first concert of the winter series in connection with St Mary's Catholic Church was held in the schoolroom last evening, and was a decided success. The programme, a very excellent one, was arranged and gone through under the direction of Mr H. Rossiter. Misses Lucy Ryan, Winifred Lloyd, May O'Brien and A. Gkmdersen, and Messrs Gr. E. Collins, J. W. Cragg, J. Peterson, C. Barnett and J. R. Peterson all contributed to the programme with great success. The Misses C. and M. O'Brien played a piano duet very well indeed, and the accompaniments to all the songs were played by Mr H. Rossiter in his usual artistic manner.
