The return of exports for the past week, including, as it does, several cargoes of Home shipments, is considerably larger than its immediate predecessors. A fair quantity of produce of all descriptions continues to be taken coastwise and to Australia. The exports for the week from Lyttelton include 2172 sacks/ wheat, 1117 sacks and 480 bags flour, 1136 sacks oats, 416 sacks barley, 487 sacks malt, 1025 sacks bran, 444 sacks sharps, 132 sacks pollard, 53 sacks meal, 253 sacks peas, 6 sacks beans, 854 sacks seed, 265 sacks chaff, 509 bales hay, 593 bales straw, 1759 sacks potatoes, 1228 sacks onions, 72 cases cheese, 10 boxes butter, 16 boxes eggs, 97 cases bacon, 8 bales flax, 810 pockets and 7554 bales wool, 1705 casks tallow, 173 casks pelts, 69 bales basils, 67,937 carcases mutton and lamb, 921 boxes kidneys and 1075 cases preserved meats. At Messrs H. Matron and Co.'s sale of grain and produce on Saturday there was a fair attendance, ■when a catalogue of small lots was offered, but bidding was not brisk. Amongst the sales were broken seconds wheat from 3s to 3s 3d, old Canadian oats 2s 3d, short feed oats Is 9d to Is lid, feed barley at 2s 3d, and cocksfoot at 3d per lb.
