Hardware Athletic Club. — The committee of the Hardware Athletic Club met at the Clarendon Hotel on Saturday evening ; present — Messrs J. Austin (captain) in the chair, W. E. Styche, A. J. Pickering, Gr. Cropp, W. J. Hebden and K. Bassett. A letter was read from the Wellington Hardware Football Club regarding a return football match, and it was decided to invite the Wellington Club to play, a match at Christchurch on Easter Monday. Instead of a sports meeting, a river picnic will be held on March 18. The annual swimming race will probably take place early next month. A sub-committee was entrusted with all the arrangements and the meeting closed.
