» The amount of export business dene during the past week compares very favourably with the volume put through during its immediate predecessors. Indeed, considering that the figures that follow comprise coastwise and intercolonial shipments alcne, the week just ended may be regarded as a very good one. Over 9000 sacks of wheat, besides 2456 sacks and 2270 bags of flour, have been sent out of the port. Of the wheat Auckland took over 5000 sacks in one bottom, while 1550 sacks were sent to Australia. The shipments for the week include:— 34o sacks pollard, 492 sacks bran, 2456 sacks flour, 1745 sacks seed, 785 sacks malt, 148 sacks potatoes, 46 cases bacon, 85 sacks onions, 2270 bags flour, 9091 sacks wheat, 898 sacks oats, 178 sacks sharps, 62 sacks peas, 30 sacks beans, 70 trusses hay, 467 bales wool, 205 cases preserved meats, 33 cases eggs, 360 sacks chaff, 28 sacks oatmeal.
