It is reported that the Rev Canor Stone, of Wigan, Lancashire, wil* shortly be ordained Anglican Bishop of New Guinea. This is the outcome of a recommendation of the Quinquennial Synod held at Sydney in October last, when it was decided to place New Guinea under a Diocesan Synod. A MUNIFICENT GIFT.
