Oddfellowshi_*. — The usual fortnightly meeting of Loyal Sister Pearce Lodge was held at the Temperance Hall, Gloucester Street, on Jan. 7. Sick pay was passed to two sisters. One candidate was initiated into the Order, and one was proposed for membership. Prov. G.M. Bro Gough, on behalf of the district officers— D.G.M. Bro Smithson (Leeston Lodge), Bro Eidley (Volunteer), P.P.G.M. Bro Cleworth (Philipstown), Bro Williamson (Benevolent) and P.P.G.M. Bro Kent (City of Christchurch Lodge)— responded to the "third sentiment."
