AUCKLAND, Jan. 5
The Eoentgen XJrays were successfully used last night by Dr Dewis, for the location of a bullet in the palm of a hand, which two previous operations had failed to discover.
INVEECAEGILL, Jan. 5. I and Lady Brassey, who arrived at the Bluff in the yacht Sunbeam yesterday, visited Invercargill to-day, and inspected the leading public institutions. At the Council Hall, where the Mayor formally welcomed them to New Zealand, His Excellency delivered an address on "The Unity of the Empire." The party boarded the yacht in the afternoon, and will return from Milford Sound to-morrow.
