A. WEST AUSTRALIAN SCHEME. [Pee Press Association.'! MELBOURNE, Jan. 4. Mr Speight,- the late Railway Commissioner, who has returned, from* Western Australia, has unfolded a scheme which he has promulgated to construct light-line railways and tramways throughout .the western colony. In connection ,withithis.scheme,. extensive works for the treatment of all classes of ore will Be erected at New-castle,-o£ the Coolgardie line. !By this means it is computed that anything over ten penny-weights will pay for mining.
