Oddpellowshii 1 . — The quarterly sumnionod mooting of the Loyal Woodend Lodge was held in the Oddfellows' Hall on Thursday evening. There was a good attendance of officers and brethren, . N.Q., Bro Marshall, presiding 1 . The election of officers- for the ensuing term ' t resulted as follows :— N.G., Bro Liille ; V.G., Bro Chambers ; G.M., Bro Marshall ; R.S. to N.G., Bro Griffiths ; R.S. to V.G., Bro Archer -, Warden, Bro A. Orchard ; Guardian, Bro G. Orchard. Bros Stalker and Gibbs Stanton wore appointed auditors. The receipts of the evening wero .£36 12s sd, and the expenditure' M Bs. At the cloye the members adjourned to the hall, where a good spread was provided, and saw the old year out and the new one in. A wife complain r»l io a London magistrate that her I i'.-lmnd will not speak to her. He ' came linn; regularly, but had not opened his lijis to her for a month. The magistrate said it was a case for the Divorce Court, but he did not think that perpetual silence on the part of a husband amounted to such cruelty as to entitle b wife to a separation.
