A match was played on Saturday between fslie Linwood and Woolston Cricket Clubs, the former winning by five wickets. Scores : — Linwood 57 (S. Poore 33, not out, 1 and Fleming 14) and 15 for five wickets ; Woolston 17 and 53 (Whatman 10, H'Bride , 10 and Beel 12). A match, at Lancaster Park on Saturday, between Spreydon and an eleven from the Lancaster Park President's Cup teams, resulted in a win for Spreydon by 20 runs. Scores — Spreydon 101, Lancaster Park 81. The principal scorers were: For Spreydon— Lightband 24, Potter 16, Bell 15 ; for Lancaster Park — Hamilton 32, Pegg ]8, Philipps 11. Weston and Beattie bowled best for Spreydon, and Pegg and Mitchell for Lancaster Park. A match was played on Saturday between Avonside and Eichmond, and resulted in a draw in favour of the former. Scores— Avonside 71 (E, Ward 19, F. Ward IG, and G. Glover I'd) ; Richmond 52 (Barnett 18 aud Kerr 12). Cropp and Griffin for Avonside, and Barnett and Kerr for Eichmond, bowled best. A match was played at Lyttelton on Saturday between teams representing the Suinuer and Lyttelton clubs. Suinner went first to the wickets,, and scored 164 before the last wicket fell. Barker 38, Eoberts 31, Hair 26, Atkinson 21, and Monck,sen. 16, wore the chief contributors. Lyttelton responded with 85, Stinsou, Stokes, and Lewin, with 18 each, being the only batsmen to get double figures. Seymour and Just divided the bowling honours for Lyttelton, while for Sunnier Atkinson and Roberts were most deadly. On Saturday the Kangiora Club's Thursday team and the Amberley Club played a match on the ground of the latter, which resulted in the defeat of the visitors by an innings and 43 runs. Eangiora made 22 and AS, the highest scorers being J. Anderson IS and Chapman 12. Amberley scored 113, J. Keuipthorne making 31 and F. Adams 27. H. and C. B. Mason and J. Kempthorne bowled best for Amberley, and G. Felton and Payne for Ivangiorn.
