PRESIDENT'S CUP.
Upper Riccarton defeated Sydenham and Addlrigton United A by 108 runs. Scores — Upper Riccarton : Bush 37 and 0, Hanson 25 and 6, Robinson 1(3 and 17, Forsyth 16 not out and 0, Prebble 14 and 2, Christmas 14 and 2, Cutts 13 and 4, Frost 9 not out and 10. Sydenham and Addington United: Freeman 12 and 6, Ayrey 12 and 17, Waddle 10 not out and 14. Bush, O'Farrell and Prebble for Riccarton, and Jones, Freeman and Stevens divided the bowling for their respective sides.
Midland A. v. United. — The match between these teams was concluded at Hagley Park on Saturday, when the former won by an innings and 55 runs. Scores: — United 85 and 70 (Todhunter 21 not out and Prankish 13) ; Midland 210 (Barge 59, Barry 52, W. Ashby 36 and Winstanleyl3). Garrard bowled well for the winners.
Sydenham and Addinqton v. Midland. B.:— This match was won by Sydenham' by one run. Scores — Sydenham. and Addington 49- (Halley 22) and 54 (Jacobs not, out 23), Midland 69 (Wilder 32 niot out, Hebden 13) and 33. (Buchanan 16 not out). Midlimd batted five men short in their second innings, while Sydenham were without Sebley, who had broken his arm.
