THE DISTRESS IN INDIA.
IMPROVED PROSPECTS. [Per Press Association. I CALCUTTA, Nov. 26. The Earl of Elgin, Viceroy, reports that the prospects in India have greatly improved. In the Deccan this was particularly so, while in the Central and North-west provinces it was also perceptible.
