Magisterial. — The civil case, R. Anderson v. D. Lindsay, heard at Lyttelton m Wednesday, was decided in favour of the defendant, with costs, and not for the plaintiff, as inadvertently stated in a previous issue. Lyttelton Harbour Board. — An ordinary meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board was held yesterday. A motion for removing the Secretary and Clerk to Lyttelton, and closing, the ] Christchurch office, was negatived by six votes to five. Primitive Methodist Church. —A. fairly 'successful sale of work was held in the Cambridge Terrace Primitive Methodist Church yesterday afternoon. In the evening the church was filled, .when the children of the Richmond Methodist Sunday School gave the cantata, The Coming of the Flowers. The cantata is on a et vie new to Christchureb, and consists of a' number of solos, duets and choruses, the soloists representing different flowers and being dressed accordingly. The^ effect was a very pretty one, and the music was very nicely given.
