THE VENEZUELA BOUNDARY.
THE AMERICAN COMMISSION. UNEASINESS IN LONDON. [Per Press Association.] LONDON, Oct. 18. Some uneasiness lias been caused in the city through the feverish, strained conditions with New York over Venezuela. Sir Edward Clarice, speaking at York, said that the Venezuela Commission would certainly be adverse, and no honest arbitrator could report in favour of Great Britain upon the evidence. He advised an immediate settlement, otherwise there was grievous risk of a general quarrel with America. Intense amazemenfc is expressed by the Press, which condemns the acceptance of the Venezuela case without first perusing the British side.
