Saturday, Oct. 3. (Before Mr G. Laurenson, .tJP.; Remanded.— Mary Foote, alias Mary Bing, was charged on warrant with deserting her child, George Foote, aged three years, at Dunedin, on Sept. 23. She was remanded to appear at Dunedin. Damaging Property.-^- James Stewart, a seaman, was charged with breaking a window in the shop of W. G. Johnston, in London Str,eet. He was convicted and ordered to pay for the damage done and costs, in default seven days' imprisonment.
