Wheat continues firm. Although no actual sales are reported, inquiries are still coming in from tho North Island. Several lines of oats have been sold for shipment lo Sydney. This will tend to harden the market locally ; and, should the present wet weather continue, stocks will rapidly diminish, and prices should remain firm. Large quantities of potatoes have gone forward to Auckland during the past week. Dnring the recent fine weathei", farmers were unwilling to leave their farming operations and open potato pits ; consequently buyers in some cases have had difficulty in fulfilling ordera by this week's boats. The following are current prices : — Wheat. — Pearl (prime milling), 3s 5Ad ; millers' mixed lines, 3s 4d to 3s s£d ; Tuscan, 3s sd; Hunter's, 3s 4 Ad; good seconds, 2s 6d to 2s 9d. Oats. — Prime lnilliug, 2s 2d (nominal) ; good stout feed, 2s ; Duns and Danish, 2s Idto2s2d. Barley. — Malting 1 , prime, nominal, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; medium do, 2s 9d to 3s 4d ; feed, 23 3d to 2s Gd. Beans (nominal). — Well-saved, 2s 7d to 2s Bd. Peas. — Blue Prussians, 3s 9d to 4s j others, 3s 3d to 3s 6d. Flour. — Millers quote roller .£lO, stone. £9 10s, sharps £1 ss, bran £3 los.
