ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
«. A wharf hand named William Moore met with an accident while stowing cargo in the s.s. Tekapo at Timaru on Thursday uight. He was receiving bags' on the 'tween decks, the hatchway being open to the bottom of the vessel below; and by some means he lost his footing and fell, landing on the shaft tunnel, and then rolling off to the bottom. He sustained a bad cut on the back of the head and a severe shaking. A lesser accident happened to one of the harbour-master's men early in the evening, a blow on the head from a mooring-line stunning him.
