Ashbubton Liberal Association. — A well attendedmeetingof the Ashburtou Central Progressive Liberal Association was held on Tuesday evening,.the President (Mr P. O'Connor) in the chair. About twentyfive new members were enrolled. A General Committee was appointed, consisting of the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and Messrs Andrews, Scott, Saunders, Whiting and Geoghan ; also a printing and Advertising Committee. It was decided that the members should meet on Tuesday evening of each week.
