Eangioba Friendship Guild. — The annual meeting of this Society was held at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday night. The Eev P. E. Monro occupied the chair. An encouraging report was read, and the balance-sheet showed a small credit. A syllabus for the fortnightly meetings to bo held during the ensuing four -months was prepared, and the following officers were appointed :— President, Eev P. E. Monro ; vice-presidents, Mrs Monro and Mr T. Keir ; secretary, Mr J. Calder ; treasurer, Mr T. Keir ; committee, Mesdames Gillespie Eoo-ers, Anderson and Keir, Miss M. Patterson, Messrs J. M'Gibbon, Watt and J. Sinclair. During the evening, Mr Keir read an interesting paper on " Polar Exploration," for which he was heartily thanked.
