WARNING TO SHEARERS.
A FRAUDULENT ADVERTISEMENT. , The Inspector-General of the New South Wales police has cabled to the police here requesting them to warn shearers against an advertisement by a certain company in Sydney, appearing in a number of New Zealand newspapers, inviting applications from New Zealand men for work in New South Wales and Queensland sheds. The advertisement asks that references should be forwarded with the usual deposit of .£l. The Sydney officer states that no such comj)any as advertised exists.
