THE PICTON EEGATTA. ' [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 18. The programme for the championship regatta at Picton has been issued by the local committee. The first prize for the ■ Champion Fours is .£3O, and the second ,£lO. This is a considerable reduction as : compared with last year's event, when the prizes were «850, .£lO and £5, For the Champion Pairs and Double Sculls the prize-money is the same as in previous years, namely, i>l2 and £2 ; and .£lO is set down for the Champion Sculls. The other events on the programme are — Maiden Clinker Pairs (in boats provided by local clubs), £6 ; Junior Outrigged Fours, .£l2 ; Senior Clinker Fours, ,£10 ; Ladies' Plate in Outriggers (open to all amateur oarsmen not entered for the Champion Fours), .£10; Maiden and Junior Fours, and Champion Pairs. The Junior Pairs will be rowed on Saturday, April 4, and the other events on Easter Monday.
