The committee of the Wellington Rowing Club passed a resolution strongly urging* the Picton Eegatta Committee to extend the Championship Eegatta programme over two , days, and to row some of the minor events and perhaps one of the championships on the Saturday preceding Easter Monday. It was also suggested that a Ladies' Plate event and a half-mile sculling sprint should be added to the programme.
