THE TRANSVAAL TROUBLE.
A BOER FALSEHOOD. PRESIDENT KRTJG-ER'S TERMS. [Special to Pbess Association.] , LONDON, Mabch 2. It has transpired that Dr Jameson's troops yielded on the condition that their lives would be epared, not unconditionally as the Boers alleged. The Times says that President Kruger's conditions for granting the franchise to the TJitlanders are that .a treaty of commerce shall be substituted for the convention admitting the suzerainty of Great Britain, the inclusion of Swaziland in the Transvaal and the concession of a preemptive right over Kosie, in Delagoa Bay. The Times thinks that these demands are merely made to appease the Boers, and that really far lesß will ibe accepted.
