- — -»—. ; VICTORIAN BETTING AND^TRAINING NOTES. [Special to Pbess Association.] / MELBOURNE, Mabch 2. Dull and overcast weather precluded much speculation over to-morrow's racing. . This afternoon Hova was well backed for the Australian Cup at 100 to 10, fully __6000 being secured at that price. Wallace, however, remains very firm at 100 to 20, which are the best odds obtainable about Dreamland, all the 100 to 16 money having been exhausted. 2000 to. 150 has been taken about Music, 2000 to 160 Preston, 1100 to 200 Lord Riohmond, 3000 to 105 Laura, finishing up at 100 to 4. Chesterman and Lucid were both supported at 100 to 2. 100 to 12 were the best odds offered against Quiver, but no business was done. Trentham has been scratched for the Australian Cup, and both Waterfall and Couralie for all engagements.
