CHABGES AGAINST MR EHODES. [Spbcial to Pbess Association.] CAPETOWN, Mabch 2. Herr Hof meyer nroclaims his severance with Mr Ehodes, the late Premier. He asserts that Mr Ehodes falsely stated the duties of Premier, and alleges that he was fully aware of Mr Jameson's intention to cross the Transvaal (^order, and took no steps to prevent it. Herr Hofirieyer further alleges, that though the Directors of the Chartered Company were warned of what was intended Mr Ehocles kept the start of the expedition secret for . thirty-Biz hours, and during that time evaded his colleagues. , He added that Mr Ehodes did not assist Sir Hercules Eobinson, Governor of the. Cape, in preventing the expedition, nor did he censure the plot.
