SUMNER.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Snmner Borough Council was held last evening ; present^-The Mayor (Mr W. Kitson), Councillors Pratt, Graham? Hughes and Collins. It was decided to issue summonses for unpaid rates. Correspondence was read: — Prom the Woolston Borough Council, asking the assistance of the Sumner Borough Council in obtaining a representative for Sumner, Linwood and Woolston on the Lyttelton Harbour Board. The matter was held over. The finance report was read and adopted. It showed receipts since last meeting £4,3 5s 6d, bank overdraft .£l6B 8s 2d, outstanding rates .£271 4s sd. Accounts amounting to .£46 17s 4d were passed for payment.
