JUNIOR CUP.
Midland v. Sydenham. — This match ■was played at Hagley Park, and the Midland won by an innings and 151 runs. Scores;— Midland 228 (Barnes 47, F. H. Robertson &9, Stephenson 38, Richards 34,
P. C. Robertson 23 and Trevella 12 not out) ; Sydenham 56 (M'Aulay 24) and 21 (M'Aulay 15). Barry and Stephenson ■bowled well for the winners, and Lawrence and Smith were the most successful trundlers for Sydenham, who batted three men short in their second innings. United v. Lancaster Park. — The former scored 169 in the second innings (J H. Smith 61, T. D. Harman 20), and the latter 23 for three wickets, 88 being yet wanted to win. The match will be continued next Saturday. Boys' High School v. St Albans.— This match was commenced at Hagley, Park on Saturday, and when play ceased the scores were :— High School 134 (Milsom 41, O'Brien 26, Nurse 18, Sandstein 13 and E. Harper 11), St Albans 101 for five wickets (G. Ritchie 23 not out, West 23, R. Smith 22 andJJ. Colville 18). West and Farquhar bowled well for St Albans and Williams and O'Brien for the HighSohool ' .■'•■■".
