KAIAPOI.
Monday, Mabch 2. (Before Mr Bishop, S.M., Mr J. L. Wilson, J.P., and his Worship the Mayor.) Civil Cases. — W. V. Taylor v. W. Moody. This was a case heard two weeks ago, but adjourned for production of Baker Winter, a witness for plaintiff, after the hearing of which judgment was given for plaintiff for £4<Zs. and costs. — Blackwell v. Heissenbuttle, claim ,£lB 17s Bd, judgment summons. Mr Papprill for judgment creditor. This case was proceeding when the Bench said that the charge appeared to be one of fraud, and as the defendant had received no notice to this effect the case would i be adjourned for a fortnight. — Merrin v. Higginson, claim .£3 3s for service of horse. Defendant admitted owing this amount, ; but considered it owing to a man named . Humphreys. Mr Papprill, who appeared . for plaintiff, promised to give defendant a ' guarantee that application should not be l made for the amount again, and the L defendant consented to judgment and was , allowed a week to pay. No costs were given.
