Champion Fouys the game ' for tiie final between Wellington and Canterbury was one of the finest pliyed during the tournament. Up to the <nineteenth head the issue was in complete^ doubt, as it stood level scoring. On this twentieth head, when the third player started Canterbury was lying three, bub Wellington's third player altered the head entirely, his first ball drawing the shot gating on Canterbury's nearest ball, ancr Ins ! ;next making a beautiful draw right on the jack, making Wellington two ahead. Coe and M'Dermott 20, TaranaM thus winning. ■' ; AUCKLAND, Maech L At ameeting of the North Island Bowling Association last night, ;it was resolved that the next tournament should be held at Wellington in January, 189 V, to be ' called the Exhibition TournMiient.; , j also was carried that ifi !futuf^a champion pennant should bo given to the club scoring the greatest number of wins, and to be held until the next tournament, interclub matches to take precedence. On I the motion of Mr Kershaw, New South Wales, on behalf of the visitors, a vote of thanks was passed to the Mayor and residents of Auckland for their kindness and hospitality. On the motion of Mr Paul a similar vote was passed to the New South Wales bowlers. Mr Kershaw (Sydney) said regarding interclub matches that New South Wales could not send complete club rinks to New Zealand. He asked if they sent a mixed team could they compete in interclub matches ? It was agreed to allow the Australians to send a mixed team. Votes of thanks were passed to the President of the Association (Mr W. Gorrie), Mr Churchward (secretary) and Mr Ballinger, who assisted, for services rendered.
