Cheistchubch Horticultural Society. — This Society's annual autumn show will be hold in the Oddfellows' Hall, Lichfield Street, on Wednesday. • ' Leap Tear Ball. — A very successful leap year ball, under the management of a committee of ladies, was held in the Albert Hall on Thursday evening. The hall. was tastefully • decorated, and about fifty couples were present. The music was supplied by Mrs D. Scrimgeour, and Miss Lennie and Miss Patterson carried out the duties of M.C/s in an efficient manner. The Dunedin Orchestral Society.— After the Liedertafel concert last night Mr W. 0. Millar, secretary of the Dunedin Orchestral Society, was introduced to the members by Mr A. Millar, who explained that the Dunedin Society intended to pay a visit to Christchurch at Easter, and v/ould give a couple of concerts, and that it was hoped that' the members of the Liedertafel would render all the assistance in their power. Mr W.
