UNIVERSITY SENATE.

[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 27. The following recommendations, passed by the University Senate in committee, were agreed tot— That select committees should be appointed to consider the following questions— Authors and periods, reports of affiliated institutions, transference of students from one college to another, correspondence with the Minister of Education, centres of examination, appointment of examiners, finance, result of law, medical and musical examinations and status of New Zealand medical students at Home ; that J. A. ErsMne, M.A., should be nominated for the Exhibition of 1851 science scholarship.
