DUNEDIN TRAINING NOTES.
DUNEDIN, Feb. 13. At Forbury, this morning, Hippomenes and Gipsy Grand led Mirage and Marlin over a fast five furlongs, and Salute galloped a mile, being brought home by Cuirassina. Eebel and Paramu did long three-quarter pace work, and Lord Eosslyn and St Ouida ran a fast half-mile. Plotter was extended over five furlongs, and Eevolt covered a mile and a half at a sound pace. Eangiatea did seven furlongs at three-quarter speed, and Maremma cantered. Musket galloped seven and Pique four furlongs. Emmeline and Pitch and Toss were apparently well matched over five furlongs. Ulster galloped a mile strongly, and Aldershot cantered. Stimulant and Clarissa were together at the end of seven furlongs, both beating Eothamsted. Quatorze fell through starting back at the sight of the starting machine, but no harm was done. Belle Clair ran six furlongs at a medium pace". Claremont and Black and Eed finished in front of Jane Eyre over seven furlongs, and Brin beat Lady Teddington over a mile.
