Gould, Sir John Hall and J>r Levinge. .*, Apologies were received for absence from Messrs J. Grigg, J. Anderson, jun., C. J. Wilson and D. M'Millan. ' •CO_tRESPO_.DE_.CE. A circular was read from Mr J. A. Marciel, honorary secretiry of the Canterbury branch of the Navy League, asking the Association to assist the League. The circular was received, and, it was. decided to ask Mr Marciel to forward any literature he may have on the subject, which this Association would distribute. Tne National Sheepbreeders' Association of London forwarded a. copy .of. the suggested quarantine regulations addressed by it in November, 1894, through the Agents-General in London to the various' Australasian Governments. It requested that, if the Association was in favour of the proposals, it would take such action as was thought desirable to bring them under the notice of the Governments and persons of influence in the colonies. The circular was received and referred to the sub-committee on the sheep classes, who were requested to go into the regulations and report to next meeting. WINTER SHOW. The President announced that the subcommittee appointed to go into the question of a midwinter show had decided on a catalogue, which was now being printed. . It had "been decided to alter the dates to. May 20, 21, 22 and 23. Premises had not yet been decided upon. Mr Overton said he was sorry there was to be a midwinter Bhow, as there was not a sound sheaf of corn in thl country, and the show of roots w6uld also be poor. SHIPMENT OF LIVE STOCK. . The President reported that unforeseen difficulties had arisen which made it impossible for the prize stock from the late show to be sent Home at present,. and the matter would therefore have to be hung up for the time being. ■ MISCELLANEOUS. It was decided to hold the next meeting of the committee on March 5, and the annual meeting of the Association :on M!archl3.
