A large amount of money had been spent in improving the yards, and other works would be undertaken before the coming winter. Mr Thomas Eaine seconded the motion, which was carried. Messrs E. G. Staveley and P. C. Murray, the retiring Directors, were re-elected. Mr A. M. Ollivier was re-elected auditor. Mr J. W. Wright brought up the question of the remuneration of the Directors. He considered that as directors of a company paying a good dividend they were receiving very poor remuneration for their services. He moved — " That the Directors receive J3IOO yearly instead of .£6O as before." The motion was seconded and carried. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the Directors for their services during the past year, and to the Chairman.
