RIVER BOARD.

An ordinary meeting of the South Waimakariri River Board was held this afternoon ; present — Messrs W.Boag(chairman), H. W. Peryman, T. Wilson, H. Crooks, J. Glanville and J. C. Atkinson. F<s On the motion of Mr Peryman, seconded by Mr Crooks, Mr W. Boag was re-elected Chairman for the ensuing year. Mr Boag thanked the members for the manner in which they had supported him during his term of office and for his reelection. The Overseer reported that there had been a small flood in the river on Feb. 3, but no damage had been done. Two or three small floating groins were required at Stevenson's corner. It was decided to adopt the recommendation of the report. Accounts amounting to .£482 13s 2d were passed for payment, and the meeting closed.
