The monthly meeting of No. 3, Victoria Ladies' OrangeLoidge, washeld on Tuesday in the Sydenham Chambers; the Lady President; Sister Gpurlay, in the chair, Sister Taylor in the vice-chair. A member, who\ was received back into the lodge, was accorded a very hearty welcome.,', A very hearty vote of thanks was.! then passed to the visiting sisters of No. 1, No Surrender^ No. 5, Orange Lily and No. 1, Princess of Orange, which wassuitably responded to. Aftei? the lodge was closed the friends were admitted, and a very enjoyable .evening was spent with Songs, readings; recitations and different games •and amusements; 'The " social " was held for the purpose of saying good-bye to Sl^m.' Bennett, who is returning to Ashburton after a year of absence. / . The monthly meeting of No. 33,' Rising Star of Eichmond> was" held on Friday evening, the W.M.. Bro M'Causland presiding. After the routine business had been disposed of, the Grand Lodge dele;gates reported .the business done at the Grand Lodge session. The report yas considered : very satisfactory. A hearty vote of thanks to the delegates and to the visitors brought a pleasant meeting to a close. •' , ■
