Two labourers, named Quinn and Kanes, working in the city, were 'struck, and died" on .xeaehing the hospital Many other cases were admitted for treatment, several of whom are in a critical condition^ At' Bourke the thermometer registered 110 in the shade, and eight deaths are reported, the victims being Mrs COriway, four men named M'Dougall, Daubigriy, Moore and Harkorn, and three children named Johnson, Boon and Mutton. At Broken Hill three deaths from the effects of the heat occurred, viz., Messrs Ayers, Littlejohn and Newlove. A strong southerly wind is coming along the coast, and is expected: to reach Sydney , about midnight.
