AUCKLAND NEWS.
[Per Press Association.] v AUCKLAND, Jan. 13,
Sergeant Kelly and five constables left for Russell by the s.s. Clansman en route for Kaikohe to execute warrants against certain Natives (about ten) for non-payment of dog taxes. Judgment was given against them after being summoned before the Magistrate. They have not paid up, and the police have instructions to arrest the defaulters. The constables will be- joined at Kaikohe by a number of the northern police. ' ■ -•-.■.,.
