NORTH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.

In the Association Cup matches on Saturday the Ashley County A team defeated the Woodend Club by 78 runs. The scores were — County 154, Sale making 45, Wilson 43, Eoebuck 18, Moore 17, Bailey 12 and Allan 10; Woodend 76, S. Smiths scoring 18, Uru 14 and F. Smith 11. Blake, and Uru bowled best for Woodend, and Gulliver and Wilson for the County. The County B team and Kaiapoi met at Eangiora, the result being a win for the former on the first innings by 4 runs. THe winners made 63 and 87; the highest scorers being H. Wilmot 33, Fitzgerald 26, Scott 19 and B. Strong 18. Kaiapoi made 59 and 51 for seven wickets, the principal scorers being A. Smith and Bate. In the bowling, Fitzgerald, for the County, took five wickets for .5 runs, and for Kaiapoi Garrard ancl Bate were the most successful.

Amberley defeated Cnst with a score of 112 to 39. For the former Adams made 32, Fitzhenry 27 and H. Mason 21 not out, while Eoss took five wickets for 12 runs and C. B. Mason foiu- for 20. Feary and Higginbotham bowled best for Cust.
