NORTH CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB.
The. annual meeting of this club was held at the Junction Hotel, Eangiora. on Friday. There was a large attendance of . members. Mr W, C. Nicholls, patron of the club, occupied the chair. The balance-sheet was read, showing a credit .of ,£24 19s 2d. Officers for° the
v'.vir were appointed as follows : — Patron, Mr W. C.'Nicholls; president, Mr W/. Buss ; vice-president, Mr E. Moore ; hon judge, Mr H. Buss; hon handicapper, Mr J. Cresswell ; hon treasurer, Mr A. T. Hay ; clerk of scales, Mr G'eo. Fisher ; clerk of the coiirse, Mr John Lilly; starter, Mr J. Cresswell; hon, secretary, Mr A. S. Clarkson; stewards, Messrs W. Buss, J. Murray, A. P. Tutton, B. Mynn, F. Busch, W. Trotter, MJ Scott, H. C. J. Bailey J. G. E; Winsloe, F.Beker, Geo. Cone, A. Lewis and J.W.Wearn.
It was decided to hold the annual race meeting in April, the date to be fixed by the stewards.
The meeting then terminated.
