The. attendance of buyers and others was about as usual. > Fat Cattle.— Ab_utlßoheadof fat cattle , were sent in. A good : demand was shown for small handyweight cattle, but the heavier sorts were harder to get rid of. Steers realised from .£4 l2s 6d to .£8 7s 6d ; heifers, SA 17s- 6d to £7 12s 6d ; cows, £4, to .£6 17s 6d. Prime beef fetched from 19s to 21a per . 1001 b and cow beef 15s to ' 18s. .. .:■.,- ■*..:■..'.■ .'. Store *Sheep. — Store Bheep sold slightly easier than at the previous sale. Twotooths brought from 4s 9d to 10s 6d, and one large line sold at 10s lld. Fourtooths brought 10s 6d to lis, store lambs 5s 6dto Bs, cross-bred ewesand'lambs 10s Bd, aged.'merino ewes from Is 6d upwards, aged cross-bred ewes from 2s 6d upwards. Fat Lambs.— A large entry of fat lambs was sent in, and a fall in values must be quoted. Butchers' lambs brought 6s 6d to •9s, freezing lambs 9s 6d to 12s 6d and up to 14s sdfor one exceptionally heavy pen. Fat Sheep.— The fat sheep sale was
just commencing when our despatch left. Pigs.— The yarding of pigs was a large one of very good quality, and all classes met with a good sale. Porkers and baconers averaged 3d per lb. Prices were— baconers 25s 6d to 395, porkers 16s 3d to 265, stores 7s 6d to 16s, weaners 4s 3d to 6s 3d.
