Tuesday, Jan. 7. ; (Before Mr F. D. S. Neave, J.P., Mr W. J. Neate, J.P., and Mr A. S. Otterson, J.P.) Drunkenness.— Two men who had not before been convicted were each fined 5s and costs, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment. ' Charge Withdrawn. — Margaret Bean was charged that, on June 8, 1885, she did feloniously marry Charles Bean, her former husband then being alive. Mr Donnelly appeared for the accused. Inspector Broham applied to have the charge withdrawn, as he was not' in a position to prove that the accused knew her first husband was alive within the seven years previous to her second marriage. She had first been married in 1871, but for fifteen years had been living apart from her husband, who was now alive. The charge was withdrawn. (Before Mr E. Beetham, S.M.) Civil Cases. — The following cases were adjourned : — J. J. Eeddington v. W. Keeley, claim £19 7s, till Jan. 21 ; T. Summerton'v. J. Brears, .£l2 9s, till Feb. 65 M. A. Cooper v. E. A. Dowden, .£ls 15s 6d, on judgment summons, till Jan. 21.
