WORK AND WAGES.
THE BOOTMAKEES' CONFEEENCE,
The adjourned conference between the bootmakers and employers was resumed at 2.30 this afternoon, in Inglis's buildings. The following delegates represented the bootmakers : — Messrs Miles, Dean and Binney, Wellington ; Messrs Milligan, Osborne and Darlow, Christchurch ; Messrs Ferguson, Nagle and Arnold, Dunedin, and Mr M'Natty, Invercargill. The following are representing the Manufacturers' Association :— Wellington — Messrs E. Hannah, W. Staples; Christchurch — Messrs M. O'Brien, H. Toomer, P. De la Cour, J. A. Frostick; Dunedin— Messrs A.H. Bridger, E, M'Kinlay; Invercargill—Mr~John Kingsland.
During the morning preliminary business was transacted by Mr Frostrick, chairman of the Employers' Association; and Mr Arnold, chairman of the delegates.
