DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB. [FROM OUR OWN COREESPONDENT.I

DUNEDIN, Nov. 29. The weather was bright, but a high wind destroyed the pleasure of the second day of the Dunedin Jockoy Club's Spring Meeting, besides to some extent interfering with the racing. The course was not iv

good order, but; tho accidents to Banner and Barmby ia the principal event of tho day were riot directly attributable to thia cause. Bub for the former coming down on his knees and the latter falling and rolling into the ditch, they might have obtained places. Fortunately, neither horses nor jockeys were injured. It was a coincidence, but nothing more, that Barmby's owner reported to the stewards prior to . the start that he had heard that his horse i wa3 likely to be interfered with in the race. Aldershot ran in the interest of Mr H. Goodman, of whose stable he is now an occupant. Dalliance was unfortunate in losing the Criterion Stakes, as half-way up the straight sho apparently had the race in hand, bufc Wilson easing her was unable to set her going again in time to stall off Conrtop's late run with Pitch-and-Tosß. Gipsy Grand bolted half a mile, before the start for the Onslow Plate, which possibly enabled Pine to manege him in the race, in which Prime Warden cut a very inglorious figure. After winning the High Weight Handicap Toxa was protested against for inconsistent running, but the protest was dismissed. Salvo, with Derrett np, waa well supported for this race, but had his back to the barrier when it was raised, and he merely cantered round some distance behind the field. The amount passed through the totalisator was .£5078, compared with £6251 on the corresponding day last year. The following are details. Outside dividends are for ten-ahilling tickets :~i-
