At a meeting of beef importers, at which five flrmß were represented, it waa decided by a majority of one to form a Frozen Meat Importers' Association. Other importers will be invited to join. The Parramatta's batter is quoted nominally at 1263 to 130s, but the high prices asked are preventing ' sales and attracting American supplies. Thirty-six thousand tubs have been shipped from New York during the last fortnight, and further consignments are to follow. It is believed that prices will relapse shortly. Danish is quoted at 140s. Since the failure of French "bears" to depress the Antwerp wool market, the slighb depression noticeable in London is departing, and the prospects for the next series are good. Owing to the improving trade with Amerioa and the shortage in the clip, virtually no wool has been sold in London since the dose of the last sales. Three thousand five hundred and seventy cases kauri gum were offered, and 1770 sold. The market is firm, and high prices restrict business. Three-quarter scraped, 86s 6dj half scraped, 54b. The stock, in hand is 1842 cases. Silver, 2b 6d and thirteen-sixteenths of a penny. MELBOURNE, Got. 26. A small sale of wheat is reported at 3s3*d. ADELAIDE, Oct. 26. Bayers have raised the limit of wheat to 3a dii. Bran is very firm at a shilling.
