The chairman of the Education Board denies the statement made by Mr Hogg dn the House that the local technical flohool cost .£2OOO per annum. The correct last amount was £855. and fees from outside pupils gave the Board a substantial profit. The expenditure includes the training of teachers in drawing. L. Webster, late town clerk at Greytown, has been committed for trial for the larceny of a cheque lor £12, whioh should have been paid to the Charitable Aid Board. There are two other charges against him. A series of burglaries were committed last night and this morning at the Grogvenor, City and Yiotoria Hotels, and Father Devoy's, Boulcott Street. In no case was a large amount of booty secured, •The police believe that all the burglaries were the work of the same man.
